They’re making films out of meme’s now!
The Safety Not Guaranteed meme started when a small advert was posted in the weekly Copenhagen Post which read:
It got paired with the stone faced mullet man through YTMND and became an internet hit. Check out all the many memes of it here. Well, soon you will be able to enjoy the big screen version of this film! The movie centres on three writers working for a magazine that head out on an assignment to interview the guy who posted the ad.
It will star Kristen Bell, Jake M Johnson and Aubrey Plaza. It got screened at Sundance this year, still no trailer so we’ll have to make do with this one so far:
One thing that little wise owl gave us last night was some rather cool ads and trailers. Here is an extended cut of THE AVENGERS!!
“We have a Hulk”
I also enjoyed The Lorax trailer, a Dr Suess story that looks adorable. From the creators of Despicable Me too, it looks good enough to eat.
Also, amazingly, is this promo of NBC programmes that is rather cheesy but a place to see the cast of 30 Rock, Parks & Rec, The Office, Community and SNL in one place. Pretty awesome.
I’m not a real fan of Madonna, but this half time show was actually pretty cool. Mainly because I love Nicki Minaj and MIA so it’s worth it just for them. Though she does mime all of it, props to a 50 something lady that can move around like that.
The guys that brought you Grimm Up North now bring you a most excellent double feature of horror every couple of weeks in Manchester at The Dancehouse. I went to their first screening of Four Flies on Grey Velvet and Dellamorte Dellamore and this is what I thought of it (hint, I had a brilliant night).
