Underwhelming Remakes Alert

A first glimpse at the Evil Dead remake has surfaced online via Entertainment Weekly and I’m unsurprisingly bored by it. Looks far too CGI for my liking, reminds of the new Freddy in the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street.

And even less surprisingly, the new poster for the remake of Carrie fills me with a sick sense of dread that I am becoming used to these days. You’d honestly take this:

I’m not going to bitch and whine, who knows until we see them, they might be  decent. But looking at all this just reminds me how the good the originals were, maybe this will introduce a new batch of people to some great classics. It is the season, let’s get them out for the 100th viewing eh?
