Not now Silent Singer!
BEHOLD! The first EVER episode of HorrorTalk TV! Please check it out, both Ilan Sheady and Sharon Davies have put a lot of hard work into this. It is a great new feature to the fabulous HorrorTalk website and I am eager to see more stuff from it!
This episode features an interview with the Candyman himself Tony Todd and a look around the Birmingham MCM expo. Oh also, you can win cool stuff.
…this year it has to be The Woman.

Basically, since this film was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival it’s receievd a crap load of controversy. People have deemed it “disgusting” and one guy had to be removed for getting up and shouting that it should be burnt and banned at the screening, here he is:
As I say in my review, hype can really kill a film in some ways. Technically it should boost the film’s appeal, people only really started talking about it because of instances like the above, but then how can a film live up to that kind of reaction? Plain and simple, I went in there thinking it wasn’t going to have an effect on me and I came out feeling like I nearly had a heart attack. But probably not in the way a lot of people will be expecting. I absolutely loved this film and would recommend it to any horror fans out there. Try and forget the hype and go in with a clear mind and see what you think. One thing’s for sure, this is a film to get people talking and there’s nothing more exciting in a film than that. Please go read my full review of the film here for HorrorTalk.

Ah hello there, it’s been a while since I’ve posted a review so here you go. I recently watched iCrime for HorrorTalk, it’s a bizarre little film about the seedy underbelly of Hollywood. It’s not a horror film…but I kind of enjoyed it…kind of. Read my review here and watch the trailer here:

A couple weeks ago I plodded off on my geeky lonesome self to see the most excellent Kevin Smith as he toured the UK with his new horror film, Red State. See look here:

Well, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but overall I had a pretty intense, exciting time! I really enjoyed the film, but I think it really helped having him there afterwards to point out a few things and to talk about the inspiration behind it. I wrote a review for HorrorTalk so it would be excellent if you could check that out here.
Here is the trailer if you haven’t caught it yet. Red State is released this week in the UK.

What on earth is this title all about?? Well it’s a very cool British film you need to keep an eye on, it’s doing the rounds at film festivals right now so this is a heads up. I reviewed it for HorrorTalk here but check out the trailer here:
