Not now Silent Singer!

The Lords of Salem gave me what I like to call “The Prometheus Effect”. I’m still completely unsure of what I really thought of Rob Zombie’s latest film, and I know it will probably need a second viewing…but there’s a part of me that doesn’t want to do that either. Anyhow! Check out my jumbled thoughts on HorrorTalk here.
Today I caught a look at the front cover of the Harold’s Going Stiff DVD front cover and I was delighted to see a quote from my review of the film (“A true British gem”) is there on the front from HorrorTalk. It even gets in there before Total Film. This has made me very happy! Now go and order the film, it will be the best thing you do today.
DVD is out on Monday!

I will be doing a series review of the fifth season of Parks and Rec. It’s possibly the best comedy show out there so if you haven’t seen any of it, go to the very first episode and work your way up so you can join along watching this new series with me.
Anyway, the first episode of season five premièred last night and my thoughts about it can now be read on Den of Geek here. It’s all spoilers so don’t read if you aren’t up to date.
And now, any excuse to listen to this:
Last week I saw Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and I really loved it. Maybe being 4,000 miles away from home meant it had a bigger impact on me then maybe other people, but I think it’s a great little film you should check out. Please check out my review for New Empress Magazine to see what made it so greatbelow! (Feel free to share, comment, “like” etc)
Hello there. Released in the UK this week is the new rom-com-baby-booming flick What To Expect When you’re Expecting. For anyone out there who thinks I only like Horror flicks you are mistaken. I love anything, soppy and romanic included.
I did not like this one though.
